Homeowner Package Policy
Homeowners insurance is for people who own the building they are living in and require coverage for the building and it's contents. These packages usually also have coverage for outbuildings, additional living expenses, personal property, personal liability, including medical payments and voluntary property damage.
Condominium Package Policy
Condominium insurance is designed to cover people who own a condominium. This is a different package because the condominium corporation covers the building, therefore the owner needs to cover personal property, interior improvements and betterments, additional living expenses, personal liability, including medical payments and voluntary property damage.
Tenants Package Policy
Tenants insurance covers people who live in rental properties. Coverage is included for personal property, tenants improvements and betterments, additional living expenses, personal liability, including medical payments and voluntary property damage.
Policies vary from company to company and may require some explanation. As a broker we are here to provide you with advice as to which is the best type of policy for your needs.
There are also a number of specialty items such as jewellery, furs, sports equipment and special collections, to name a few, that may be excluded or limited on a policy. We can guide you as to the best method of insuring these items.
Personal Auto Insurance
Auto insurance in Ontario is regulated by the government and certain coverages are mandatory in order to drive a licensed vehicle in the province. Third Party inclusive Public Liability/Property Damage Liability, plus supplemental Accident Benefits and Uninsured Motorist Protection are required coverage's.
Certain coverage's such as collision and comprehensive are not required by law but may be required if you borrow money to buy a car or lease a vehicle.
There are a number of optional coverage's available some of which are as follows:
- Coverage to rent a car if yours is damaged by an insured peril
- Coverage to remove depreciation from newer vehicles if they are written off
- Increased income replacement benefits
- Coverage to extend your current coverage to a vehicle you rent

Licensing and Regulations
Licensed vehicles in Ontario include snowmobiles, ATV's and motorcycles. If you are unsure as to whether or not you require insurance call your broker.
In Ontario if you are not legally licensed to drive a vehicle then there is no insurance on that vehicle if you drive it.
